ACT 1 – THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate HRBP to join our UK and Ireland HR team. Reporting into the Senior HRBP and predominantly supporting the Operations arm of the business, the Associate HRBP will provide proactive and comprehensive HR support and advice.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Support line managers to ensure that they effectively manage performance
  • Create and manage delivery of employee relations awareness training
  • Provide coaching and practical support for line managers to support consistency in all HR related practices
  • Support the Senior HR Business Partner and the wider HR team with change initiatives across the business (specifically with any acquisitions, disposals, department restructures and redundancy procedures)
  • Support the HR service delivery team to ensure the content of employment contracts, statement of terms and handbooks are legally compliant and reflect the company culture and values
  • Support the HR service delivery team to ensure all employee related support materials are up to date and legislatively compliant e.g. letter templates, policy guides and supportive documents
  • Develop and execute simple, transparent and structured HR process flows to support the site managers
  • Consistently deliver an accurate and timely response to transactional activity and business issues
  • Ensure all HR operations related administration is efficiently, accurately and securely implemented, ensuring legal compliance at all times (e.g. disciplinary outcome letters, appeal responses, etc)
  • Responsible for identifying trends in HR related needs from the Cinema’s – make proposals into how the business may address gaps in knowledge or training
  • Work collaboratively with the Recruitment team to support GM recruitment processes, with regular communication that identifies upcoming gaps
  • Work collaboratively with the Learning and Development team to ensure all HR related training is delivered through the training plan within Operations
  • Work with the HR Services Manager to create and develop a People-Metrics dashboard

ACT 2 – WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL NEED

  • Experience of working in an HR Advisor role within a fast paced multi-site business such as retail, leisure or hospitality
  • Proven experience of working closely with line managers on various people related issues such as performance management, absence, disciplinary and grievance
  • Previously supported business change programmes such as restructures and redundancy procedures
  • Experience of planning and implementing collective and individual consultation procedures
  • Experience of coaching and guiding line managers through people related policies and procedures
  • Familiar with creating and updating policies and procedures
  • Exposure to designing line manager toolkits that enable the business to manage their people effectively
  • Able to demonstrate up to date knowledge of UK and Ireland employment law and ability to apply it in a commercial environment
  • IT literacy
    • Excel; ability to collate data using Excel
    • PowerPoint; able to create effective presentations and documents
    • Word; high level of ability

THE CREDITS – ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Although a degree is not specifically required, candidates will need to be at least of graduate calibre and operating at the level of Associate CIPD qualified.  Post graduate Employee Relations/Employment Law qualifications would be an advantage.
