ACT 1 – THE ROLE

We have a unique opportunity for a Tax Manager our join Vue International Group function. Reporting into the Group Head of Tax, the Tax Manager has responsibility for tax reporting for our UK and Group financial statements, tax forecasting and assisting the Head of with tax risk management, transfer pricing projects and providing tax advice to the business.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing the UK and consolidated tax computations for financial statements
  • Reviewing the tax computations of key overseas territories (Italy, Germany, Poland and the Netherlands)
  • Preparing the tax disclosures for financial statements of all UK entities
  • Reviewing the tax forecasts prepared for LRP and Budgets for all Territories (4-5 times per year)
  • Reviewing monthly tax postings by territories
  • Reviewing cash tax forecasting for all Territories
  • Critically reviewing the reporting process periodically and making recommendations to improve efficiency, implementing any changes approved by the Group Head of Tax
  • Gathering information and documentation for the preparation of UK corporation tax returns
  • Reviewing and approving UK tax returns
  • Preparing quarterly UK interest restriction computations and annual filings
  • Reviewing tax accounting processes and preparing documentation for Senior Accounting Officer signoff

ACT 2 – WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL NEED

  • Degree Level, Professional tax or accounting qualification e.g. ACA or CTA, or equivalent. 1-3 years PQE (or equivalent)
  • Experience of corporation tax with experience gained in a Multinational group and/or professional services
  • Technical tax capability e.g. UK capital allowances, UK interest deduction rules, transfer pricing, international taxation. Knowledge of VAT
  • Up to date technical knowledge of UK IFRS financial reporting
  • Ability to prepare tax computations, tax journals and tax disclosure notes for financial statements
  • A good sense of humour
