ACT 1 – THE ROLE
We have an opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our UK and Ireland Finance team. Reporting into the Financial Controller, this role supports our Sales Marketing and Film Buying departments.
Main Responsibilities include:
- Producing timely and accurate management information in accordance with specified monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements
- Forecasting of the commercial activities to Gross Profit within the P&L (including sales & cost of sales reconciliation for all sales channels)
- Working closely with commercial teams on reporting revenue and costs accurately and efficiently Provide insight into differences between underlying systems and the finance system
- Prepare the commercial departments cost preparation and review
- Supports the Commercial FP&A Business Partner where required
- Prepare the weekly KPI & monthly Flash reports ensuring accuracy and issued to within the required time frame for review
- Prepare any other relevant weekly reporting ensuring they are accurate and issued to within the required time frame for review
ACT 2 – WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL NEED
- Qualified accountant – ACCA/CIMA/ACA
- Experienced gained as a Management Accountant, Financial Accountant or Assistant Accountant within a fast paced retail, hospitality or leisure business
- Proven experience of building strong cross functional relationships
- Use to working with large volumes of data, analysing and providing insights.
- Solid experience of reconciliation of large volumes of data
- Able to demonstrate examples of proactively engaging, guiding, supporting and recommending solutions with to improve profit performance, transparency of performance and processes
- Extensive knowledge working with Excel & PowerPoint
- Experience of producing variance analysis and commentary
- A good sense of humour!
