ACT 1 – THE ROLE

We have an opportunity for a Group Financial Accountant to join our Group Finance Department. The Group Financial Accountant is a key role within the Group Financial Control team. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller the Group Financial Accountant will primarily be responsible for the preparation and reporting of the consolidated management and financial results in a timely manner ensuring accuracy and integrity in the numbers to multiple stakeholders and treasury reporting, cash and debt facility management and compliance.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high quality reporting
  • Support internal and external financial reporting for the Group and maintain appropriate control policies  
  • Managing cash and facility
  • Proactively managing treasury operations, making sure borrowing is planned, within facility limits and costs are kept to a minimum 
  • Ensuring covenant compliance
  • Preparing budgets and forecasting
  • Managing Investor Relations

ACT 2 – WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL NEED

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or overseas equivalent) with treasury experience.
  • Previous experience with consolidations.
  • Working knowledge of cashflow reporting in a business environment.
  • Technically minded with strong working knowledge of IFRS.
  • Solid experience within a multi-currency reporting environment.
  • An ability to understand and modify complex excel models.
  • Experience in introducing new processes to reduce risk, improve efficiency of reporting and aid Management decision making.
  • Able to work with foreign subsidiaries to ensure Group objectives are met and deadlines adhered to.
