ACT 1 – THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join our Group Content, Pricing & Sales function. Reporting into the Group Head of Data, Pricing & Sales, the Commercial Analyst will support the Group Head of the department and take ownership for the data analysis of business performance relating to cinema content, pricing, scheduling, market trends and competitor activity.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting and analysing large volumes of data; providing insights, conclusions and recommendations
  • Identifying market trends to improve profit margins
  • Data modelling and forecasting
  • Performance reporting
  • Competitor activity tracking and reporting
  • Data and information management via databases


ACT 2 – WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL NEED

  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills, ideally gained within an analytical role within a fast paced B2C environment
  • Experience of analysing customer behaviour to support business decisions
  • Proven ability in analysing and interpreting large volumes of data facilitating informed and robust business decisions
  • Able to demonstrate examples of working cross functionally with other departments to achieve improved performance
  • Methodical and logical approach to analysing information and data
  • Exceptional Advanced Excel skills including modelling (essential)
  • Database experience with SQL or other database (essential)
  • Programming experience with Python or BI Tools (PowerBI/Tableau) (preferred)
  • Commercial awareness and acumen
  • Strong attention to detail with focus on accuracy and quality of work
  • Business or Quantitative Degree qualification (preferred)
