Customer Assistant

Vue West End
£6.15 under 21 years old / £7.70 21 – 24 years old/ £8.21 25 years old and over

This vacancy has now expired.

THE TRAILER – THE ROLE

We are looking for Customer Assistants who are passionate about great customer service to join the team here at Vue West-End.

Vue West End is a 9 screen cinema located on London's prestigious Leicester Square and continues to play host to many premieres and events. Our nearest tube station is Leicester Square (Northern Line / Piccadilly Line / Bakerloo Line) whilst Piccadilly Circus is only 5 minutes walk away (Piccadilly and Bakerloo Line), as are a number of local bus services.

ACT 1 – WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As a Customer Assistant you’ll be responsible for a wide variety of duties across the cinema.

As well as delivering exceptional customer service you will help the cinema to meet daily sales targets by recommending films and up-selling our premium seating options and latest deals on drinks and snacks.

You’ll check tickets, replenish stock and work as part of a team to get each screen ready for the next film in record time, helping to keep the whole cinema clean and tidy so every customer can enjoy the Vue ‘big screen’ experience at its best.

ACT 2 – WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll need enthusiasm, confidence, and enjoy working in a busy target driven environment where no two days are ever the same. Previous customer service experience would be beneficial but it isn’t essential as full training will be given.

THE FINALE – WHY YOU’LL WANT IT

Great training, a fun environment, unlimited free cinema tickets for you plus three guest passes per week, discounts on food and drinks and other discounts with high-street and online retailers.

There are also fantastic development opportunities for those looking to start a career.

THE CREDITS – WORKING HOURS

We are looking for candidates who are able to work full time hours from the 18th Sept to 13th October to support the site in the delivery of the BFI Film Festival. At the end of the festival we will look to offer part time contracts where you’ll need to be flexible to work late evening and weekends (sometimes as late as 4AM).

Peak times for us are Friday to Sunday plus school holidays and we are able to offer additional hours during these busy periods.

Due to these hours, in order to be compliant with the Working Time Regulations 1998 candidates wishing to apply for this position must be over 18.
